By building programs rooted in relationships, we seek to give participants a glimpse of how the Father sees them: as unique individuals with gifts and talents that empower them to work, learn, grow, and serve. Volunteers are essential to many of these “stepping stone” programs:
Work Life provides soft skills job training.
Faith & Finances provides economic literacy and personal finance training.
Individual Development Accounts allow participants to earn matching dollars for an asset.
HSE/GED classes and tutoring prepare participants for the HiSET or GED.
Job placement services help participants transition to work, often through the Advance Memphis Staffing Program.
Wraparound services such as Overcoming through Christ (an addiction recovery meeting), counseling, Anger Management class, and more provide additional support.
Why We Need Your Help
Programs don’t change lives. God changes lives through relationships. Our staff can’t develop relationships with each participant and graduate–we need your help. Find out more about how to be a part of the Advance Memphis team by clicking the links below.
Advance Memphis serves the Cleaborn & Foote communities of Memphis by empowering residents to acquire knowledge, resources, and skills to be economically self-sufficient through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
