June Prayer Letter 2024

Prayer Requests from our Graduates

On May 31, we graduated our third Work Life class of the year. The requests below were provided by some of our recent students.

  • Pray that people are able to access necessities like food and water this summer.

  • Pray that I’m able to pass my GED exam.

Prayer Requests for our Community

  • Pray for our neighbors who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, and ask the Lord that our community would find freedom from the bondage of addiction. (Ephesians 5:18-20)

  • Pray for our children, that the Lord would protect and watch over them this summer as they’re out of school.

  • Pray for our nation as we enter another election year, that we would look to the Lord to guide us and trust in His divine plan for our country.

  • Pray for women in abusive relationships, that they would be able to recognize unhealthy situations and find the courage to seek safety and stability.

  • Pray for students and graduates who have experienced sexual assault. Pray for justice and healing in the community.

  • Pray for the single mothers in our community as they navigate work and childcare.

  • Pray for those struggling with HIV and AIDS as we’ve seen an increase in cases this year. Pray that our city would live out God’s good design for relationships with men and women.

Prayer Requests from our Staff

As we prepare for our next Work Life class, we ask that you lift up our staff as we recruit new students and continue to pursue relationships with our community.

  • Pray for staff as they begin the orientation process for our upcoming Work Life class and that the Lord would prepare the hearts of our future students.

  • Pray that the Lord would draw more volunteers to support our neighbors and staff.

  • Pray for our Communications team as they begin to prepare for our annual fundraiser, Art for Jobs.
